28 men and 35 women were arrested in a private party in Mashhad, northeast of Iran, according to the city’s deputy prosecutor. Police fired bird shots as some guests managed to escape, he added. Speaking to the state-run Tasnim news agency judge Hassan Heydari said: in Shir Hesar district on Mashhad’s Sento road, 28 men and 35 women were arrested in a private party. 10 units were dispatched to make the arrests and 33 vehicles and 36 mobile phones were confiscated.
